The pendant measures just under 2" from the tip to the top of the ring.
I did a bit of experimenting with the finish on this particular claw and it has a faint greenish tinge in some areas. It is a subtle effect that reminds me a bit of an alligator for whatever reason. It's so understated that it's nearly imperceptible in person, but can be seen in the photographs. Personally, I like it.
If you prefer a longer or shorter chain, just let me know.
All of my crawfish claws are personally selected, eaten, cleaned, dehydrated, disinfected, preserved, beautified, top-coated, and worked into jewelry by me.
Each claw is unique, and I do my best to match the pairs. Variations are normal and are what make the claws so darn interesting in the first place.
A little more about my crawfish:
As a native Cajun, I love a crawfish boil. This is both my source and inspiration for this collection of jewelry. Eating crawfish at home is messy, and eating out is expensive; crawfish are seasonal and unavailable for most of the year. Therefore, I have an extremely limited stock of crawfish claws, and once they are gone, you won't see them for sale here again until summer of 2011. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
