This quilt is a simple, quick project which combines my bonded appliqué and free machine drawing technique, although it can be worked in almost any appliqué method. Visit my ‘sewing tips’ section (www.janetclare.co.uk) for examples.
The girl’s face is hand embroidered and the pattern includes a full size colour image to help you achieve this.
My quilt measures 36 x 45 in (92 x 115 cm), but can easily be made a different size if you wish, by adding more butterflies or pieced borders.
This paper pattern includes full size applique templates, colour pictures and detailed, clear instructions.
