Elebee is made of quilter’s muslin that has been painted and sanded, then painted and
sanded again, giving the fabric a rich patina that feels like old leather. All the details are entirely painted (not drawn with pens or pencils) using acrylic paint and teeny tiny paintbrushes. She comes ready to hang, or she can stand on her own. Her little wooden legs and quilted wings are button jointed with antique white buttons, allowing them to be posed.
Like each of our pieces, this one is entirely made by our own hands.
Individually sewn, stuffed, and painted, we will make up to 25 of this design.
Each piece is signed, numbered, and dated by us, Dylan and Jo.
The exact piece pictured has been sold, but we've already begun work on the next one in the series. It will look very much like the one pictured, but please allow for subtle differences since they are all hand painted. Once payment is received, it'll take us about a week to finish it for you.
