The Paper Demon usually works only in paper, but sometimes, there are things we find in Japan that are just too cute to keep for ourselves. This craft pattern project was one of them. Raccoons are called "tanuki" in Japanese, and they're known for being mischievous and playful.
KAWAII RACOON PALS are made from chirimen fabric, a crinkly Japanese fabric used in all kinds of cute Japanese crafts. The fabric in shades of copper, cocoa, and cream, is imported from Japan. They have shiny black bead eyes. The larger is backed with felt.
The ornaments hang from bright gold cord (not shown in this photo); they can also be made as BROOCHES--just convo me!
The big one measures 2" x 1 1/2" (including tail). The small one measures 1 1/2" x 3/4".
You can hang them together or separately, or give one away and keep one for yourself!
Like all Paper Demon purchases, they come in an adorable little hand-folded origami box!
