i changed the fabric to a forest green and it is an amazing dress, very well made. only flaw was the dress was made too big in the waist. i double checked measurements and my waist has not shrunk :-) it is saved due to having a waist band, otherwise i would have been disappointed.
***seller's note: this dress is not form fitted around the upper body. The one on the model's are not form fitted either. This is because the cotton has no stretchy at all, and people's waist will get large when sit down or after dinner, so we need to make sure it is still comfortable to wear in every situation. The waist belt will help to shape the waist. If you want to make the dress form fitted, please let me know:)

2) shoulder: taken from any of your fitted non-stretchy oxford shirt style blouse, only between shoulder seams across the shoulder, and does not include the outer part of sleeves?
3) chest with bras on
4) girth arm length: the girth length of the biggest part of your upper arm.
5) waist 1 inch above your belly button where the smallest part of your upper body is
6) total length you want for the dress from shoulder seam to bottom hem.

*New Look Series*
The most important feature in this dress is the skirt part. It is made of 8 sector pieces to reduce volume in the hip but add up flare hemline! It consumes much more working hours than normal circle skirts.
The waistband is detachable. It is deep-V neck in the back. There are 2 side pockets too. We can also remove the V-neck feature.
A very classic 50s dress! The "New Look" actually was born in 1947, created by Christian Dior. It was a backlash from WWII's stringency, and was typically defined by the generous use of luxurious fabrics, a wasp-waisted silhouette with widely flared skirts.
