because i have heard o so many times that my actions are 'so virgo' i am starting to wonder if my actions are attiributed to being a virgo, or just simply the characteristics of a perfectionist. when i was in school i would start painting a picture or drawing and would be 80-90 percent finished and then I would throw it away. I would have been unhappy with the result, wanting to try a new idea, or someway to make it different. Thanks to my mom, she would go through my garabe can and take back all that was thrown away. Thankfully she still has a collection of crumpled art.
Today, nothing changes, as that part of my personality stays the same. I have countless merely finished projects that are on the way to being complete. If I have a pre-conceived notion of what exaclty I want something to look like, then most chances are it will remain unfinished in my pile of work. I have to have the materials that I am using dictate what happens. Usually, as soon as I complete something, I am over it, not wanting to look at it again. Wanting to make new things is really all that motivates me, not the completetion projects. But sometimes people see what I have done and push me to make it available to everyone else.
What you see here is an example of this. A year ago I started with this cuff, and after a year of looking at it, it is now complete and available.
I wanted to make a picture frame of studs with layers of straps to make it look like something you would find in a dragon's den. But I also wanted to make it look like it had be torn, so I left the natural edges that nubuck leather started out as. hope you like it.
