I knit this in a simple, pullover style. The cuffs, collar and hem are knit in ribbing. The button placket is knit in seed stitch. I knit the entire piece in the round, which means there are no seams- a comfier fit for your babe! I used a single button closure with ample space open above for a wide neck opening- easier dressing! Cozy and soft, this sweater will be wonderful paired with a turtleneck or long-sleeved T for those crisp autumn days.
The sweater fits sizes 3 to 6 months-
Length from shoulder to hem: 11.5" (29.2 cm)
Chest: 23 " (58.4 cm)
Sleeve: 6.5" (16.5 cm)
Though unisex, the sweater buttons with a boy "orientation". The button is plastic but looks like woven leather. I used a small piece of felt on the wrong side of the button placket when sewing the button on for added stability.
Made with 75% acrylic and 25% wool, the sweater is easy care. Just wash on a gentle cycle and dry with low heat or lay flat to dry.
