The label reads:
by Hortense Hewitt
Slip your supporter through the loop.
The wallet will then rest safely under your stocking top.
It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches by 3 inches at its widest point when empty and flat.
The bag has some surface soiling and the paper insert is quite yellowed but the wallet itself is in mint condition. I have only removed it in order to better photograph it.
This would be perfect for a wedding or bridal shower! You could fill it with prayers for the new couple.
Hortense Hewitt started in the 1940s, with a line called glamour garters. Queen Elizabeth II and her wedding party wore garters made by Hewitt. The company is still going strong today! http://www.hbhwedding.com/aboutus.cfm
