The board consists of pieces of glass that were hand cut, kissed with a grinder, and then fused together to make one fantastic show piece! After the 1550 degree soak, the piece was kiln annealed for strength & durability.
The game board measures just over 4" square.
Rather than marking with the traditional "X & O" pieces, I fused two different colors of cabochons.
This board would make a wonderful gift for any gamer out there! It is especially wonderful for use on the patio- you can leave it out rain or shine!!
When you aren't playing, the board can be displayed on a plate rack rather than simply put away in the game cabinet. If game cabinets aren't your thing- no worries...simply take the board to the kitchen!! You can use it as a spoon rest by the stove, you can put warm or chilled dishes on it when setting the table- the uses are endless.
If it gets dirty there are no worries there either- simply put it in the dishwasher!
