Nearly 100 pages of dog treat recipes I've carefully formulated for maximum canine happiness! These are the very popular recipes Raleigh locals may remember from The Third Place coffeehouse.
Free of meat, eggs, and dairy, these treats avoid many allergens and I've included information in the foreward on adjusting the recipes further for dogs who may have sensitivites to other ingredients.
Canine nutrition is a subject I find facinating. I devour (no pun intended) every book I can find on the subject (including antiques!) and was lucky enough to be able to attend a day seminar on the subject when I was working as a kennel tech at a vet clinic. The dogs at the kennel became my test tasters, along with my own dogs--one who would eat a brick if you put it in her bowl, the other a true foodie who loves Ethiopian food above all else.
I have aimed to make these treats healthy as well as delicious, but keep in mind that these are treats, not the center of your dog's diet. Feed accordingly.
Recipes range from extremely simple to impressive ones that will knock your friends' socks off at your next doggie party.
Angel Policy: My recipes may be made for sale provided that all profits from their sale are donated to animal rescue or animal rights charities. The book includes info on setting up a biscuit-based fundraising program for rescues/shelters/animal advocacy groups. :)
