While the mid-century packaging is awesome enough to make any design enthusiast drool, the real awesomeness lies in the fact that THERE ARE ACTUALLY SPICES INSIDE! You can actually cook with them! Or just sprinkle them on your plates as a garnish! Or on your mantel as a decoration! Or on your arm, just to see how they look and smell them occasionally! Whatever you choose to do with them, I have absolute faith that you will enjoy the heck out of it.
Contained in the trio:
~ 1 box of Ann Page thyme leaves (green box above, featuring the lovely silhouette in burgundy). The lid to this box was open and some of the leaves had gone AWOL, so I sealed it off with a little washi tape, which you can see in the images above. (roughly 2"X3")
~ 1 box of Arco Brand whole nutmegs (yellow box above). This box is actually missing the top completely (see second image above), so the nutmegs are free to roam. I didn't want to do anything to harm the integrity of the rest of the packaging (this box is in the most weathered state of the three -- though I think that just gives it character), so I left it alone for you. All of the boxes were packaged together in a plastic bag prior to the tissue paper, so rest assured that all the little nutmegs are safe and sound. (roughly 2.5"X3")
~ 1 small box of Durkee's mustard seed. This box is completely sealed (Good Housekeeping, even!) and in the best condition of the three. (roughly 2"X2.5")
I have a similar set of spices that I have bundled together on a shelf as decoration, along side some other favorite vintage package designs, and they look adorable and provide much enjoyment. Of course, you could also take an X-Acto knife to them and cut them up for collage/mixed media projects if you feel so inclined... or need to take out your frustrations on a trio of innocent little spice packages.
As mentioned above, I have bound all 3 of the boxes together, placed them in a ziploc bag, and then wrapped them in tissue paper and tied them with a little piece of ribbon and gift tag. The plastic will keep everything dry and in place. I will ship to you in a safely packaged priority mailer and, as with all orders, I will include a mini-ephemera pack for you to enjoy as well.
