The Tailored Tote is a medium size purse with lots of tailoring details. It has stitched ends that give the sides a permanent “paper bag” shape. An outside pocket is topped with a contrasting flap. The inside pocket also has an elastic penholder. Straps are attached with loops for extra fashionable detail. All is closed with a small tab with magnetic closure.
This pattern uses rotary cutting and step-by-step assembly to make it EASY! Plus paper pattern pieces are included if you'd rather pin and cut.
The finished size of this purse is 12” wide, 9½“ high, and 4” deep.

There are no pattern pieces required - it's easy to cut the pieces in rectangles, using a rotary cutter, ruler, and mat.
Fabric Requirements:
Main Fabric – 5/8 yd (3/4 yd if using directional fabric)
Contrast – ¼ yd
For Pocket Flap and Loops
Lining Fabric – 5/8 yd
Also used for Oustide Pocket and Tab
Heavyweight Fusible Interfacing (Pellon Decor Bond) – 1 yd
Magnetic Purse Snap (1/2” or 5/8”)
Permanent Fabric Glue (Unique Stitch)

Fabric Requirements are given for the Rotary Cutting method. However the file also includes paper patterns if you'd rather pin and cut with scissors. You may need a little more fabric using this method - layout your pattern pieces carefully!
