This piece has seen little if any use, with its original brilliance making this a brilliant piece.
These large size (1" +) lockets are a lot scarcer than the usual 0.75 x 1" sized ones.
This type of design was most popular in the 50s and 60s - there is a possibility that this piece was actually made earlier, but not engraved until 1976.
Back is engraved "Miss K. Lobb / 25 years of service 1951-1976 / St. John Ambulance"
Size: 22 x 38 mm (7/8" x 1 1/2") inside, 27 x 43 mm (1 1/16" x 1 11/16") outside
Markings: F in box, STER (in middle of left inside, see second picture)
