Vintage Cookbook - Good Housekeeping 1930

The cover says, "MEALS Tested, Tasted and Approved" and has the Good Housekeeping stamp of approval, which as we all grew up being told, means that it must be just awesome and exactly what we need (or something like that). :)

"Florence Stephens 1938" is written inside the front cover and a recipe for Custard Bread Pudding is handwritten on the front fly-leaf and someone wrote the Gettysburg Address using a fountain pen on one of the front pages.

This is a wonderful old cookbook, a glimpse into the eating habits of 1930s era America!
