This device was commissioned by Abraham Lincoln from his Civil War skunkworks division as a personal defense unit. This prototype save Lincoln from three assassination attempts before being retired from service due to mechanical failure.

Lincoln was successfully assassinated two weeks later.

Built from brass, aluminum, cogs, and springs - this little fellow is a non-functioning display prop. The wood and glass case measures 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 6 1/4.

This prototype is a wonder to look at and will be the envy of your other period friends.
