A textile ornament of a real-size mother hare to display fondly in your home.
Pretty is a very good mother hare and she makes sure that her babies know all the different type of flowers, herbs, grasses and weeds. Some are poisonous to hares and this knowledge has to be passed down to each new generation with care. Pretty knows just how important it is to distinguish between these green creatures because she ate the wrong one as a baby and was ill for over a week. Her mother fretted terribly and all the other mothers came by with special herbs for Pretty to eat and to sleep on. As a youngster she thought she was immune to everything but now that she knows a lot better she makes sure her experience is not repeated in vain. She has such a kind and gentle way with her babies that they listen avidly in the Some Nice, Some Not-So-Nice Green Creatures for Nibbling Hares lesson. At the end there is always masses of questions and a tasting session. That’s the best part and the babies love it too! She has been asked by the other mothers if she can give lessons to all the babies and they will help with the green creatures gathering.
Pretty has been made with great care and she has safety eyes. She has been machine and hand sewn by me and will have many ‘unique’ (imperfect, handmade) bits.
However, she is not recommended for very young children and is not a toy.
Pretty is looking forward to sitting on a cosy arm chair with a view to the garden. She would appreciate an open window so that she may go out to hold her classes. Would you like to help with the green creatures collecting?
She is made of thin brightly printed cotton and has a polyfill stuffing, along with a full stomach of dandelion leaves (only joking!).
She stands approx 28cm high and 42cm wide (approx 11” x 17”).
Pretty is pleased about her journey to her forever home!
