I made this rain jacket by ironing together layers of plastic bags to create a really thick durable fabric. I collected plastic bags from trash cans for a week to make the material. I love the melange of branding logos and colors created by layering the bags.
The jacket is unisex, and is one-size-fits-most. All kinds of people have come to my studio and tried it on, and so far it looks fabulous on everyone!
It's sewn together with polyester thread and has velcro up the front.
Though not as durable as gor-tex, this jacket will stand up to fierce elements (waterproof!) and aggressive jungle gym climbs.
