Materials: Customized cigar box, assorted cards and papers
Cards: 365 cards plus dividers
I have always liked to collect the little notes that I make to myself. Sometimes I pin them up on a bulletin board or stuff them in a jar. I like to discover these notes later on as they transport me instantly back to another time or place.
The idea here is that the calendar sits on your desk and each day has a card. Each day you can write a note, a little memory, or a quote and then move the card to the back of the stack revealing the next days card. Year after year you can add new notes to each days card, while also reflecting on the notes and messages you left for yourself from years past. The design will also accommodate bits of paper and other ephemera that you might want to store in it as well.
The cards that make up the days are made from vintage computer punch cards, vintage timecards, old card catalog cards, library cards, vintage graph paper, and other odd and ends that I have collected over the years.
Each perpetual calendar comes with 365 cards, the dividers for each month, and the customized cigar box as a holder.
This idea has basically been a labor of love for me, this project has been highly labor intensive and since it is made from things I have collected over years, I cannot make these to order. This is the first of three listings for these, the last that I have the resources to make. I really appreciate all the warmth and feedback that I have received abotu these over the last year!
Thanks!
