I hand shape and form each piece out of a high fire paper clay. The paper clay is made using old recycled egg cartons creating a bead that is light and sturdy. (Not nearly as heavy as you think!) Not a lot of breakage with this ceramic piece!
* The piece is 1 3/4 inches (4.445 centimeter) in both height and in width.
* It is a dark mossy green and cream in color and has tan undertones with rose pink star.
* The star has a matte finish and is surrounded with blue and clear glass melt in the kiln .
* The bead has teal blue, yellow, and black accents on the bail potion of the piece.
* It has a large horizontal hole along the top of the bead.
I’ve previously matched these beads with this glaze - Green Tourmalated Quartz beads and Unakite Beads.
**Please note that there is what appears to be a crack on the nose of the sleeping girl. It is not a stress crack but just the way that the piece clay behaved and has been icorporated into the piece.
Thanks for looking!

By the way - The lights reflect on the piece because of the glossy finish of the glaze that is on the bead. The picture doesn't do them justice!
