These earrings coordinate with my newest pendant series that I call STRANGE BLOOMS. First I make tiny flowers in the torch and smash them flat, and then I made patterned rods called murrini in the torch to snip and use as the flowers' centers. Next I layer the torchwork pieces on top of of solid piece of glass and fire it upside down to make the patterns sink in. After I grind it to refine the shape, I refire the piece. Then I sandblast it and fire yet again to create a satin finish. The smooth texture feels like beach glass. The earrings have sterling backs and sterling earwires.
