The main bag is made from a pretty cotton from Heather Bailey's "Nicey Jane" collection. It features big pale blue, white, yellow and green flowers on a bright lime background. I used a coordinating pale blue print and some white rick rack for a horizontal accent across the front. For the lining I chose bold blue and green polka dots. I like to use two layers of polyester fleece for the interlining to add some stability without making the bag stiff. I've quilted through the outside layer in a horizontal stripe pattern in white thread to add some interest and texture. On the inside there are 3 slip pockets in the same pale blue fabric I used for the front accent.
Measures 7.5" wide across the top, tapering slightly to a 6" wide x 3" deep boxed base, 8.75". I made the 1.5" wide adjustable cotton handle extra long so it can be worn over the shoulder or across the body. Adjustable from 34.25" (to edges of bag) to 62". Magnetic snap closure at the top.
