One of a kind..
I have been dreaming of this idea of clustering the butterflies on nude color tulle fabric for a while and am very happy to see that I was right about how amazing the look would be! The look I wanted achieve was the illusion of butterflies nesting on the skin rather than a jewelry piece that is worn around the neck.
I created this necklace starting with transferring real butterflies and moth wings images onto organza and also silk fabric. After cutting each of them, I clustered the pieces onto stretchy nude tulle material by sewing each of them by hand. I've also added tiny faux pearls on the middle of the butterflies as well as some parts of the tulle.
This is a creation that is so whimsical, unique and nothing like you'd see somewhere else, featuring 19 unique kind of butterfly/moth wings.
This amazing necklace is a statement piece but not too over powering with its sheer and natural look with mostly muted tones but some bright colored butterflies coming forward at some parts of the piece. Would also be perfect for brides who likes to add colors to their whole look! You can also easily rock it with some ripped jeans and simple lacy top in spring and summer.
The necklace is adjustable, because I've used very thin silk ribbon as closure, so you can either tie it more tightly around your neck to wear the necklace as more of a choker, or lower on the bust like a bib piece.
Care Instructions: Please keep the butterflies away from water. The colors on silk butterflies tend to bleed if wet. Do not pull them too hard from the ear wires (or chain if it is a necklace) as the organza fabric has a delicate nature. If you see slight fraying on the edges, do not pull the threading; instead cut them very slightly off the edges with scissors. Keeping this delicate jewelry in a box or a case when not worn is recommended to be able enjoy them a long time.
