What a dreamy bookmark it is! That is why the tassel is at the bottom, resembling the tail of a kite.
The vibrant red color makes me think this scene must be taking place at dusk or dawn since the moon is high up on the sky. We all have our dreams and our hopes, so does this bookmark.
