This pop art bead-painting consists of an extreme bead embroidery. The Yellow Sub and whales were created by stitching tiny glass seed beads to felt 2-3 at a time using strong nylon thread. The finished beadwork was then stitched to a 24" x 36" acrylic painted canvas depicting the edge of Pepperland. Both the music-hating Blue Meanies (inside the submarine) and The Beatles were collaged to the canvas. This piece took approx. 12 weeks to create from start to finish.
