This beautiful scarf was made using a variety of techniques- hand knitting, machine & hand embroidery, and felting. Made with a lovely, tweedy silk/wool/cashmere blend yarn by Jo Sharp.

A three season scarf- wear for Spring, Autumn, and Winter. Add some leafy goodness to your wardrobe!

The body of the scarf was knit using a very soft 85% wool/10% silk/5% cashmere blend yarn, it is constructed with the stockinette stitch and curls to form a soft tube. This yarn is very soft and decidedly UN-scratchy! It is constructed with the stockinette stitch and curls to form a soft tube. Two additional strands of trim frame the scarf. Soft, colorful, and organic, these trims are strands of crocheted mixes of Prism Yarns delightful spring branch-like novelty yarn and a squiggly, tendril-like yarn made by Crystal Palace- they have the feeling of twine from a bird's nest.

The beautiful, delicate embroidered leaves are individually embroidered by me, and are inspired by real leaves. This scarf features colorful leaves of golden yellow, sage green, green tea, apple green, and deep carmine red. Leaves include: Horse Chestnut, Bur Oak, Blue Oak, Fairy Bells, Nymphaea (Lily Pad), Sycamore, and features the flower-like leaves of the water plant Marsilea Mutica. I create all my leaves myself- absolutely no embroidery machines, embroidery patterns, or anything of the sort are used! All leaves are made of silk dupioni fabric. Felted wool berries of gold and reddish-maroon are placed at irregular intervals and are enclosed by a web-like embroidery.

Length: 78 inches (198.1 cm)

Made in a smoke-free environment with love and great attention to quality and detail. The edges of each leaf are treated with Dritz Fray Check to prevent fraying.

Each scarf is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. The photos you see here, are the photos of the exact scarf you will get! Care instructions will be included with each purchase.

Wear with confidence. Made to last. Wear it in different ways: hang it around your neck, wrap it once twice, three times. Wear it casual with jeans, or wear for more fancy occasions. Can be worn alone as an indoor decorative scarf, or combine it with your warm, woolly existing scarves to give your winter wear a splash of color and detail.
