1890 High/Low Waist Dress #1010
Here's my latest in my 1890 series. Each one with which

My inspiration was a sketch that caught my eye in an
old catalogue. The dress is shown in three versions. With
the advent of the three different sleeves, collars and two
skirts/bodices, you can make more than 18 different dresses!
If you can come up with more, let me know.
This pattern may not be for the beginner as there are
no drawings in the instructions; only well-written
directions and the usual pattern pieces. If you have the
assistance of an experienced seamstress, you will
probably be successful.
I have a background in design, dressmaking and
tailoring. When my little granddaughter, Sydney,
asked for a doll that was 'easy to dress', I pulled out
an American Girl catalogue, she selected Kirstin, and
I was off and running. So a few years and many
patterns later, here I am anxious to share my wares
