This is a handprinted linocut, printed from three different linoplates, I inked the lino up in different colours, a soft minty green, and a buttery yellow, with the last plate printed in a royal purple, then I layer the linoplates on the paper until I have the effect I desire..... this also means that no 2 prints are alike, making your linocut a truly original print.
If you would like to see how a lino is made and printed,
go to: www.artcanbefun.com and click on the printmaking movie icon, in the movie Lino Mix and Match I show you how this kind of printmaking is done.
I printed "Pods" on a piece of lovely warm white printmaking paper, the actual image is 15.5" x 7"(40cm x 18 cm)
and the paper is 22" x 10.5"(56 cm x 26 cm)
I have signed, titled and numbered the print 1/1.
"Pods" is mailed to you in a mailing tube protected by tissuepaper and cellophane, in comes with a flier explaining this method of printmaking, and always, a little goodie for you!
Thanks for visiting my shop and welcome back!
