The quality on this antique bracelet is one of the best. It is hollow with an inside thick metal lining that is made to fit a wrist instead of just being flat. IF you are familiar with the Godinger Co. you will be able to associate that with the thick silver metal content and the relief work with this fabulous old bracelet. They are very similar which leads me to believe this is a high end bracelet. Not only is it wide ( 1 1/2") but also heavy ( 76 grams) and of the finest silver plate. The bracelet is 6 1/2" long on the inside of the bracelet when closed. Notice the fierce norse God like bacchus or gargoyle in the center ( it is on both sides) as well as the two outward facing lions that protect it. At one time there was a safety chain but not anymore. OTher than the hinge having a tiny gap in it, it works perfect and the latch is really good and strong. IT is an amazing piece.
