The sweet energy of summer is what this tote brings to mind for me. This is quite a large bag, for fitting a day's worth of beach necessities, a bounty of farmer's market produce or a light weekend away on a spontaneous trip.
The base of the bag is a thick golden yellow cotton corduroy. The upper is black and cream cotton ticking fabric and the lining is a thick, rich, woven jute and cotton. The straps are genuine leather. All the materials of this bag, with the exception of the hardware, thread and zipper, are salvaged or vintage. Two antiqued brass snaps close the bag securely.
Inside the bag is a large zippered pocket and a slip pocket.
