You can also add names, signatures, photos, drawings, a back pocket from a favorite pair of jeans or anything else to your quilt, too. Quilts with photos are gently washable. Ask me for a price on adding these elements.
My t-shirt quilts are as soft as the t-shirts that go into them. I don't use a fusible stabilizer on the back of them, which makes them lighter and softer. I have other means of helping the shirts keep their shape. I could tell you how, but then I'd have to pinch your cheeks and tell you how big you've gotten - in front of your friends. If you're 6-15, it's a fate worse than death, or so my nephew seems to think.
One customer said, "I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for the quilt. It is a MILLION times better than I ever could have imagined. I am SOOOO happy w/it!!!"
This listing is for an approximately 58" square quilt that incorporates 25 shirts or a 46"x70" quilt that incorporates 24 shirts. I'll give you fabric options for the back of your quilt and for the binding. I use clear thread for the quilting so it doesn't interfere with the shirt patterns. The binding is finished by hand. The first two pictures are representative of what you'll get. The third picture is a close-up of my quilting and the last two are photos of other t-shirt quilt options. (See other listings to purchase those styles).
PLEASE NOTE:
*****The squares in the quilt are 12" finished. If your shirt designs are larger than that, please contact me before purchasing so you're not disappointed!*****
Please contact me prior to ordering for an estimated completion date. They typically take 2-4 weeks to complete, but I may have others already scheduled. I want to ensure each quilt gets the time it deserves!
Please see my blog for other examples of my work! http://www.auntcindyland.blogspot.com
Shipping is via priority mail and includes insurance. You are responsible for costs associated with shipping the shirts to me. To save on shipping, you may cut the backs off of the shirts, but *please* do not do so until you get instructions from me! They look better if I don't have to put teeny pieces in here & there where they've been cut too close to the printing on the shirt. Poorly pre-cut shirts are subject to a charge of $5/shirt - or a box of Godiva (preferably something with hazelnuts, but no white chocolate).
Disclaimer: You will NOT get the exact quilt in the listing. It was made with someone else's shirts!
