I purchased this purse in NYC a few summers ago. The vendor stated that she was clearing an estate of someone in the Bertolli family, as in the pasta company, and that this was one of the purses from the estate. Who knows if the story is true or not, but the bag is a Stern + Bros brand, an old department store in NY which has since merged into Macy's®. I believe this bag to be from the 1950s and it's the perfect FOREST GREEN color, the photos just don't do it justice. The short shoulder strap can be tucked inside, so the bag can be used as a clutch. Three interior compartments, two open and one zipped. Faux suede lining, shows only light wear. Measures approximately: 12.5" across and 9" in height. Excellent condition! Perfect bag for fall!
