The bumblebee fabric in this quilt is stunning. The yellow and brown bees fly across a bright melon background, with what at first glance looks like a creamy lace pattern, but is actually butterflies. Chartreuse, pale lemon yellow, raspberry pink and deep chocolate surround the center panel of bees.
I just learned that, aerodynamically, bumblebees shouldn't be able to fly- but it is their ultra-rapid wing movement that helps them achieve lift off!
This quilt brings with it a definite feel of summer, of lazy, languid days and bright sunshine.
I used Warm & White brand 100% cotton batting, crisp white backing, and quilted in a gently meandering grid with pale yellow top thread. The quilt is bound in bright pink, highlighting the floral print in the quilt. I gently laundered the quilt upon completion, allowing the cotton batt to shrink its standard 2 to 4%.
39 x 41" (99.41 x 105.4 cm), wonderful for a baby girl from infancy through toddlerhood and beyond! The quilt provides great visual interest and contrast for curious little eyes during tummy time.

All Moon Spirit Studios baby quilts are made from quality, 100% cotton fabrics, pieced and quilted with cotton thread. All fabrics are pre-washed and dried prior to making the quilt. Quilt bindings are a double layer of fabric, and are hand-stitched to the back of the quilt. Quilts are gently laundered upon completion.
Please wash and dry your quilt on gentle, cool cycles. For maximum color retention, line dry and keep from prolonged exposure to direct sun.
