This listing is for a brass stamping of a mermaid and merman embracing, with their tails wrapped around each other's. This stamping is large and holds a lot of tiny details. It has been antiqued which shows off the detail real nicely. It measures 2 1/2" across and is 2 3/4" long.
A stamping is made from a flat piece of metal. A press is used to strike a form into brass or another metal, resulting in a design in the metal called a stamping. Stampings are normally hollow on the reverse side.
