You know those shipping pallets you usually walk straight past without giving a second thought to? Well here in industrial North Brooklyn those things are everywhere you look, most of them rotting away until they either get dragged off to some godforesaken landfill or....

...reclaimed and turned into functional pieces for your home. In this case, I took some old pallets and made a country-style mirror that looks cool wherever you put it. The edges are metal pallet straps that have been fastened with found trim nails, the glass was cut from an old Ikea dressing mirror I found near my apartment and the hanging hardware was donated by an artist friend who spends more time waiting tables these days than he does making art -- 100% recycled, just the way I like it.

The frame measures 29 by 16 by 1 inch thick, the glass is 19 1/2 by 5 1/2. This item comes with a NYC subway map detailing where its various parts were found/salvaged, thanks so much for checking it out.....

Note: free delivery to NYC, I'll bring it right to your front door.....
