The original was painted in layers of watercolor, ink, and gouache on a page from a vintage science book. This piece is part of my "Colonization" series in which topographical images develop out of unlikely surfaces, like little worlds growing in unexpected places. It's currently on display in a local gallery, but I have prints available here.
(Also, you may notice that the text on this piece is upside down -- that's the intended orientation for this one, no need to turn it over.)
This art print was printed with high-quality pigmented archival inks (Epson UltraChrome) on acid-free fine art rag paper. The image size is approximately 6" x 9" and the paper size is 8 1/2" x 11". It comes in a clear plastic sleeve with a stiff backing board and a certificate of authenticity.
