This design is similar to the Men's Maori Shirt that will be featured in the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum this year. (That's right kids, Toolgrrl is in the Smithsonian!)
This is handcrafted out of recycled materials: the white fabric had a former life as a 100% cotton bedsheet. The design was inspired by traditional Maori facial tattoos, sacred designs that were unique to each person. Every time I make a design, I will alter it so no two are ever identical.
I lovingly hand sewed the design out of rayon jersey, using electric blue heavy-duty thread. The neckline, armholes, and back keyhole sparkle with contrasting piping in luscious blue and purple. There are also two pockets built into the side seams (how handy!).

Because this is a tent dress, it will fit a variety of bodies. Send me your measurements and allow 3-4 weeks for construction.
I recommend hand-washing my garments in cold water and laying them flat to dry.
