This piece was inspired by Quebec. My mother lives in Old Quebec City and I cant wait to visit Quebec soon, it is alive with heritage and I love to picture it the way it was in the 1800's.
He is a salty old sea captain who lives in Gaspe and spends a lot of time fishing in the gulf of St. Lawrence. When not at sea he lives in a red-roofed cabin and taps maple trees in the spring.
He would look marvelous in an oval frame.
