Amazing condition for pieces created in the 1960s. This dress/coat combo belongs in a museum, a true piece of wearable history.
Both the dress and the coat are expertly structured and tailored to accentuate the curves of the body while hiding potential flaws. Fully lined in material that matches the glossy sea foam green material (possibly silk dupioni I couldn't find a fabric content label.)
Shine and detail is everywhere in this outfit from the blue rhinestone studded buttons of the the jacket, to the elaborate neckline of the dress featuring gold trim and Aurora Borealis Rhinestones. Stunning! And not a stone missing anywhere! I just noticed that the dress has pockets built into the seam... Brilliant!!!
This cocktail length Mod dress would be perfect as a Mother-of-the-Bride dress or even a rehearsal dinner dress for the vintage loving bride.
There are two small material discolorations on the set. A small rust colored dot on the back of the sleeve of the coat. And material darkening on the waist of the dress. This in no way takes away from the beauty of these vintage pieces. I would recommend taking it to a dry-cleaner. Do not attempt to wash it at home, you may loose the sheen on the material.
