I enjoy making wooden cremation urns. Wood is so much more personal in that each piece is as unique as your pet. I take great pride when I am asked to create a final resting place for someone's best friend.
This cremation urn is made from a stunning piece of spalted sugar maple. I chose to keep the form simple because the wood had so much going for it on its own. The 3-piece lid adds an elegant touch to this 8" x 7”, wooden pet cremation urn. It will hold approximately 90 cubic inches or 90lbs of pre-cremation weight. It is finished with 4 coats of lacquer.
Selecting a cremation urn for a loved one is certainly not an easy task. If you have something particular in mind, please feel free to convo me so we can discuss your thoughts. While I show some urns here on Etsy, most of the work I do ends up being customized so I am very open to that idea.
