The painting was created in oil paint with many layers using a fine sable brush. The Poppy stands tall in front of an ochre background. I finished this painting with a protective top coat of lacquer to protect the surface.
The painting and frame together measure 3 and half by 2 and one quarter inches and it hangs from a brown linen cord. The painting is backed with archival linen and dated and signed on the back as well.
