I paid too much for the cab. I'm less than fluid in Dutch; i.e. I can say, "cheers, street, cat, thank you, little beer, and please," so I didn't protect myself against the feisty cab driver; but really, I couldn't have cared less.

I only cared that she was standing there, right in front of me: this woman who understood, who held inside of her the same memories as me.
