This dress is a vintage reproduction from the original pattern.
THIS DRESS IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN A CALF LENGTH STYLE - CHECK OUT MY SHOP FOR A LISTING
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this multi-purpose mid-century wrap dress. It is super simple to care for. The sleeveless bodice has a round neckline in front. Neck, armholes and back opening edges have a bias binding. The circular skirt doesn't need a petticoat if worn in the short style but I would suggest it if you want the fullness of the longer version.
Although I love the mid-century styling of this fab wrap dress and it is my first choice to do it in any number of atomic/retro fabrics, this cute little dress would be great in gingham or any solid cotton with a contrasting binding.
The sample dress has been sewn in an Eames era atomic print mid-weight cotton with contrasting black binding and pockets. Because the fabric used on the sample is authentic vintage fabric, the sample dress is one of a kind.
If you SIMPLY MUST have a real Vintage Inspired atomic bark cloth - convo me...you can see a couple of options in my photo listing of fabrics and i have a few more options - the price for this dress will be adjusted accordingly if using bark cloth depending on your choice of fabrics. I just don't want you to have sticker shock...so brace yourself!!
Check out my photoset of fabrics. Please remember that my fabric stash is always changing. Check to see if your choice is still available. But if you don't see what you were looking for give me a shout. Chances are I may already have it, have it on order, or can get it in a jiffy. I place 1 or 2 fabric orders a week.
Sample shown has a 36" Bust, 28" waist and free size hips
(dress is shown with peg leg clam digger jeans, not included)
check out my shop for a pair of empire waist capri or ankle length cigarette pants to wear with this dress or wear the dress as it is with a cute pair of ballerina flats.
