This is one of a series of 6 oil paintings of pineapples that I originally made to display for a show at the Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca, NY. This third pineapple features a sky blue background and is painted in a type of homage to one of my artistic idols -- Chuck Close. The pineapple is a universal symbol of welcome and hospitality. This painting makes a wonderful focal point at the entry to any home.
