This is one of a series of 8 ice cream cone paintings that I made for my 2010 show at the Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca, NY. The cone was modeled after one I bought in nearby Trumansburg which had the word "novelty" printed on it. I decided to substitute words ending in "y" that leant themselves to the flavor of the cones I painted. This is my "true blue" or "loyal" cone. Combined with the red "varsity" cone and the white "quality" cone, it's quite patriotic!
