Acrylic on Canvas
2010
This is one of a series of 8 ice cream cone paintings that I made for my 2010 show at the Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca, NY. The cone was modeled after one I bought in nearby Trumansburg which had the word "novelty" printed on it. I decided to substitute words ending in "y" that leant themselves to the flavor of the cones I painted. This varsity painting is decked out in "red" because we live so close to Cornell University, home of "big red" sports. It looks quite good when hung in combination with other cone paintings.
