This journal is made from strong yet supple cocoa brown leather. It has one of the most unique closures I've ever created-- a broken metal skeleton key acts as an anchor around with the black leather cord is strung.
On the front is sewn another piece of cocoa leather to form a type of pocket, perfect for holding a pen. There are "X" stitches and metal studs that attach the pocket to the front of the journal.
The spine of the journal has a little added decoration also-- I've knotted the stitching into a net-like design.
The back of the journal has a few small tears as well.
The pages are cream-colored paper that has been dipped in a tea stain, leaving the edges of the paper darkened and splotched. The pages have different stained patterns depending on how it dripped and dried along the edges. There are 384 pages (counting both sides), hand stitched into the spine with white waxed linen thread.
Measures about 4.5 x 6 inches ( 11.4 x 15.2 cm).
My unique "Apocalypse" line of journals are made to look rough and raw.
They're also an essential in a post-apocalyptic world! Use it to draw maps of safe routes, keep track of food rations, or just to relax and doodle after a long day of zombie fighting.
