The typewriter’s body is metal, with lovely, clean lines, and a predominantly two-tone color scheme in dove gray and soft-white. They top of the keys mirror the body's white tones, with the undersides of the keys being a fabulous, funky, dark brown. The machine measures roughly 11"w by 12"d by 4 1/2"h.
The typewriter is in lovely aesthetic condition. There are a few flea-bite-like paint chips around the heavy-wear areas like the corners and front edges. There are also a few very minor blemishes where it looks like the ribbon ink rubbed off a bit. Quite unnoticeable in general viewing.
The typewriter works well, with the carriage return gliding along without a hitch, and letting off an endearing "ding" at the end of each line. The "L" key sticks just a touch in my testing but all the other keys hit cleanly. It will need a fresh new ribbon if you plan to use it functionally.
The typewriter sits contently in a case, with metal hooks in the base to secure it. The flexible vinyl case is two-tone with a gray strip accenting the darker gray-blue. It zips up securely. Originally, there was foam padding in the interior lid of the case. Over time, this has disintegrated. It has now been cleaned up with no loose fibers, however, you can still see the remnants of where the foam was.
Please note, this machine has not been serviced by me nor examined by a typewriter expert while in my ownership. I give my typewriters a good surface cleaning but essentially sell them as-is, thus am able to offer them for much less than other sites like www.mytypewriter.com for example, where the machines are restored by professional technicians and examined for any necessary repairs. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them.
