Here is my distinctive portrait of sisters and rock stars, Ann & Nancy Wilson. Their band, Heart, remained a force in the rock music world throughout the 1980s-- to date. On August 31, 2010 they released their newest album entitled "Red Velvet Car." At the time of this January 1981 portrait, they had just released "Bebe Le Strange." Previously they had produced, "Dreamboat Annie" - "Little Queen" and "Dog and Butterfly" in 1978. This portrait captured the Wilsons at the pinnacle of their ride to meteoric fame. Please note that Ann is the figure on the left side, Nancy is on the right.
"HEART" is offered as a pristine (new unspoiled) fine art print printed in quadtone and is rated to be fade proof under UV glass for better than 150 years. Please note that no typography is visible on the fine art print. This is for display purposes only and to signify copyright.
Please convo us through ETSY communications with any of your questions.

ABOUT:
A Lesson in History...A Lesson in Business
If you sit still long enough you can hear the story behind each and every vintage item even if the story is simply an imaginary tale. Vintage holds our history, our hearts and our memories.
I try my best to provide the best vintage items possible but sometimes some of my vintage items that I sell are worn or tattered (items that once were well loved simply tossed away either in an estate sell or worse yet the trash). To me the beauty is what story is left to tell or the nostalgia that the vintage item holds or the history that it speaks of…but sometimes a vintage item simply needs a good home. A home where a person understands what needs to be done to be once again an item to love and to have.
I hope you enjoy my vintage shop as much as I do. My shop is a revolving lesson on history and a lesson of basic business skills that change about as often as history does. As I learn and grow, I will bring fresh ideas to my shop.

ABOUT:
Growing up in Connecticut, I was always making something. Maybe it was the fact I was an only child, and my parents wanted to keep me busy. At the time my father owned a photo finishing studio and I loved going to work with him. It was an old building and I remember exploring the upstairs, which hadn't been used for years. The fear of walking past cob webs, and the excitement of finding left behind treasures in the old desks, may just have been the spark that started my love of old things.
I attended Texas Tech University working on a Degree in Fashion Merchandising/Marketing. During study time in the library I would spend time pouring through Art and Photography Books. My favorites were Diane Arbus and the Fashion Photographer Irving Penn. I also had the best part time job in the world....I worked in a Record Store...back in the day when vinyl albums were an art form!
I took my first Stained Glass class while I was dating my husband. I wanted to make a lamp, that was my sole reason for taking the class. My husband bought me all the supplies, so I was stuck...I couldn't give it up! A friend offered to put some of my suncatchers in her Florist shop & one sold....Shock!!! I was hooked.
When my first child was born (we have 3), I wanted to be a stay at home mom. So, to supplement our income, I would sell at craft fairs, consignment shops...you name it, I did it. Now my baby is 15 years old, and I am still able to stay at home creating!
My work has evolved over the years. I now work with the items I love, quilts, lace, glass buttons, paper, etc. For me the hunt is the most fun!
My loves are photography, particularly black and white, quirky art, music, old paper, antiques, quilts and most things old.
Lisa

Artisan Statement:
I spend most of my time looking, honing my eye, examining nature, technology, people, objects; I collect form, texture, line, color and put together puzzles based on my own frameworks, from the objects I find. My hope for my line is to make one-of-a-kind accessories that enhance simple wardrobes, through their unique combinations.
Eclectic found material is the inspiration and source for Julia Barbee, who has had a recycled clothing and accessories line in Portland, Oregon for 10 years. Wanting to pair her love for making, with a historical, philosophical, and theoretical background, she went back to school, and in spring of 2011, and earned her Master of Fine Arts from California State University, Long Beach. In December 2011, she opened her first studio/shop in the 811 E Burnside building in Portland. Her degree work was a process-based study using scent as the platform for sculptural performance, and it is this methodology that has just begun to shape her collection of one-of-a-kind pieces.
