Kyphi is an ancient traditional incense from Egypt made from raisins soaked in wine after which resins and herbs are added and a little honey. The whole process of properly handcrafting Kyphi incense takes about one month. This is needed to achieve the proper consistency and an even blending of the multi-layered scents. Be sure to burn a larger whole chunk on the charcoal as Kyphi is design to burn slowly to release all its complex scents. Do not crumble it or break it up over the charcoal or it will too quickly turn to charred ash.
Ingredients: Juniper berries, honey wine, anise, calamus, gum mastic, liquid amber (Turkish storax), and rue.
Size: 0.5 oz (weight) - 3 large incense pills
