This "Fume of Melissae" was inspired by the bee priestesses of ancient Greece called Melissae. Not seeming to belong to one god, these priestesses are associated with Demeter, Dionysus, Aphrodite, Artemis, Apollo, and even Hermes. In some tales they are bee nymphs who use honey or mead to bring on prophecies. Bees and honey are associated with both life and death, healing and embalming. Honey was a common ancient offering to gods and nature spirits by ancient Pagan cultures as was the even more ancient alcoholic beverage made from honey - mead.

The bee propolis resin used in this incense smells like honey and vanilla had sex with flowers. Bee Oracle Incense smells delicious burned on charcoal and lasts a long while so you only need to burn a small portion at a time.
